As part of a social value agreement IHCLT has an option to purchase 5 properties on a new site which has been developed by Salix Homes Neighbourhood — Willo Homes IHCLT are not in a position to purchase the properties until we secure RSL status but are working with Salix Homes to develop a management agreement

Full Registered Social Landlord application submitted – May 23 May 1, 2024

Following a period of hard work to ensure we had all the documentation in place and a strong board to drive the work we have now submitted a full application to become a Registered Social Landlord.

First steps to securing Register Social Landlord status – October 2021 May 1, 2024

Despite a setback in October 2020 when our preliminary application to the regulator to become a Registered Social Land was rejected. Further work has now taken place and a new application submitted and approved. This means we are one step further forward to achieve our ambition to become a Register Social Land and take ownership and management of our own properties.

St Lukes scheme – December 2012 March 1, 2024

The council’s planning and transportation regulatory panel approved the plans for the energy efficient development on the site of the former St Lukes Primary School in Weaste at a meeting on 2 December 2021

The development in Eccles New Road will comprise of 32 homes and 36 apartments with 75% to be offered as affordable housing.

IHCLT are working in partnership with Derive and Salford City Council 24 of the properties on the 68 homes site will be allocated for purchase by IHCLT.

The development is an exciting opportunity for IHCLT to build its own portfolio of affordable homes for the people of Salford

The developed will provide good quality high energy efficient homes helping to reduce fuel poverty along side helping Salford meet it targets to become Carbon neutral.
